This past Sunday marked the second of three classes in our children’s etiquette series at the OBX Wedding Library. We focused on why and how you write a proper thank you note. The students even got to practice by writing their parents a thank you note for signing them up for class. I was impressed with how hard everyone worked. The notes were then addressed by students (the most challenging part!) and mailed out. The students also learned how to be properly introduced, how to introduce others, as well as how to shake hands and look people in the eye. This was a great experience for everyone, especially me. I really enjoyed seeing how well the students made eye contact and their determination in properly shaking hands (not bone-crushing, not dead fish). I’m looking forward to our third installment February 12 where we’ll focus on handling sticky dining situations. The class will culminate with a fancy tea party where students can put their knowledge to work!
